Cinnamon!!

The little fella had his first spice this morning... cinnamon!! It's my favorite! And, he loved it, too. I put some cinnamon and applesauce into his oatmeal for breakfast. He's really been enjoying food these past couple of weeks. We took a break from solids for a little while and then reintroduced them again and this time we're having much greater success. He's been eating more and seems more interested. He really seems to be enjoying it. He gets so excited about food. :) He is also starting to eat bigger portions as well. Up to this point, he has had: applesauce, peas, carrots, green beans, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, bananas, and a taste of blueberries and grapes. Suggestions on what we should try next?

I gave him a bath before eating- I'll never do that again.
Also new this week: We got a "bumper jumper". Caleb enjoys it. It took him a little while to figure out he could jump, but once he figured it out, he got it.

  1. Ethnie and Leo both thoroughly enjoyed their jumpers! Whoever invented them was genius. :) He's getting so big! Time sure flies. He's so adorable.:)

  2. Exciting stuff! I'd suggest trying squash, pears, and peaches. One you have them all down, try turkey and chicken. Not sure if you puree things or if you're a baby food kind of gal. We puree here. The jars of canned meats are disgusting!

Be careful with the berries, especially if there's a chance he has allergies and sensitivities. Oh, and grains... You mentioned oats. I'd just try at least one more you think he can handle.

So glad the little guy is having so much fun! Thanks again for all of your help the other night!
