Family Time!

So, since this little baby could make his/her arrival at any time now, we decided to have a little family fun day. The thinking was that this could be Caleb's last day as an only child and that it might be a couple of weeks before we go out and have some family fun together. Really though, we do try to do fun things as a family on Saturdays anyway.

Today, Jeff and Caleb had a little story time on the kitchen floor. Then we all got ready and headed out for some errands. Afterwards, was where the real fun started. We headed to the Children's Museum. Caleb loves the museum and he loves to be able to run around and explore. We all had a blast. Afterwards, we headed to CiCi's pizza for a late lunch. Then we came home and tried putting the C man down for a nap, which he refused to take. He then fell asleep at 5 (I know terrible timing) and woke up at 9- so in essence he had a 4-hour nap. He coughed quite a bit throughout his nap and when he woke up, his voice definitely sounded strained. He ate some yogurt and had a little coconut milk and I gave him some honey to help with his cough and a bit of Benadryl to help with the drainage and he went back to sleep as we did scripture study and singing. He's now sleeping peacefully in his bed. I haven't heard a peep from him since he's been back down. So hopefully, he'll sleep the rest of the night.  It's a bummer that he's sick because he just recently got over the flu (at the beginning of the month). I'm also a bit sick but I don't have a cough really, just exhaustion, congestion and a scratchy throat. Hopefully, we'll both be on the mend soon.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our day! :) P.S. It might be a bit of an overload. It's just so hard for me to choose pictures sometimes.

He actually does really like the train.

Caleb likes to hide... he thinks if he turns his head, I must not be able to see him.  :)

Painting his hand... wonder where he got that idea from?

Oops, he got a little paint in his hair.

Taking a break for a little snack.

He loves these noodles.
That's his "mmm" face.

There's that face again.

Jeff gave him a bite of his dessert pizza. Here Caleb is signing, "more".

Who doesn't love chocolate?

Oh man!

Sucking the chocolate off of his thumb.

"MMM"

Signing for more... this time we said no.

And he got some water instead.

  1. Sounds like you had a fabulous family fun day. I remember doing that with Owen before Adam was born. They're 17 months apart. I still have the memory so it was definitely worth it. Hope the baby comes very soon and that you are all feeling better!
